DRIVING-HOUR LIMITS

State and local regulations may enforce limits on the number of hours drivers can spend online on rideshare platforms. To help you keep track of your time online, the Driver app will alert you when you’re approaching the applicable limit, and then again when you’ve been online for the maximum amount of time. After a substantial period of time offline, driving time resets and you can go online again to receive trip requests.

SAFETY FIRST

DASHCAM / CCTV

Passengers' privacy must be respected at all times. Dashcams securely capture any trip you take. While delivering services, our drivers make certain that the dashcam device in their car is operational on all occasions. We take extreme precautions to ensure the safety of a car. Drivers utilize CPVV's camera system, which establishes minimum operational, data protection, and picture quality requirements for dashcam mounted in vehicles. Recording from surveillance cameras will only be obtained by approved CPVV personnel, and it is viewed and utilized to prosecute incidents identified to Law Enforcement, as well as through us since we have legislative authority. CHILD SAFETY

For children, we utilize forward-facing child seats, jumper seats, and rear-facing child seats. Drivers obey child protection rules, such as in Victoria Child Seat Policy when driving an automobile, infants under the age of seven should be protected in an authorized child seat and authorized booster seat. And kids between seven to four years will only ride within the first seat with two or three lines of seats whether they are secured properly in an infant child seat. Our drivers travel safely; using hands-free gadgets when driving can impair a driver's capacity to focus, so drivers avoid using certain gadgets. Child Passenger Safety

VEHICLE MAINTENANCE

Management of the car is critical when sharing a car with another rider to guarantee the comfort of all travelers. This is vital for either the passengers or the driver because it guarantees that all persons riding in the cab are fully protected. As a result, our drivers conduct routine car inspections. They test the different sections of the car to see if they are in proper working order, such as: It is important to ensure that certain mirrors, both inside and outside the vehicle, are in good working order so that the driver may view all and without obstructions Drivers utilize protective glass that means the glass falls into fragments and does not crack when shattered, further protecting the passengers and driver Testing the tire pressure to ensure they are filled, have decent tread, and are therefore not damaged or worn. DISPLAY STICKER/SIGN

Some regulations require you to display a sign or sticker that helps riders identify that you are a rideshare driver. To help with this, we provide a removable Aus & Ride sticker to be displayed on your vehicle whenever you’re online (where required). If the sticker is not properly displayed, or if it’s not visible while you’re driving with the Driver app (day or night), you could be subject to penalties by local authorities. VictoriaThe stickers must be clearly visible to persons approaching it and must be placed in a spot where it cannot be removed by a person sitting in the driver’s seat.
